Buoyed by its success in 2006, we aim to break new ground with three new models of Benross iron, including the VX50 Forged - its first foray into the 'clubs for better players' market. The advanced, cavity-back design of the VX50 Forged features different combinations of steel in the heads of the 3- to 6-iron, compared to the 7-iron to pitching wedge, in an effort to bring a softer feel to the scoring clubs. With True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips, you'll pay £349 for eight irons (3- PW) with options of S300 or r300 shaft flexes. The new VX5 irons incorporate the TriMass weight-positioning system and a deep centre of gravity to make long and mid irons easier to hit. The clubs are available in True Temper Dynamic Lite steel or Aldila TM70 graphite shaft options (4-SW). Recommended price is £249 (steel) or £299 (graphite).
A standard 3-SW set will cost £299, while a 5-SW set, including the introduction 3- and 4- V5 Escape hybrids, are priced the same. Other recommended combinations are 3-SW graphite (£329), 4-SW graphite (£229), 5-SW steel 9£199) and 5-SW graphite (£249). Benross putters have proved very popular in the last 12 months and 2007 will see the introduction of the Ripple VMC SV2 with four adjustable weights either centre or heel shafted (£69.99) and the SRII with dual fixed tungsten weight ports and an oval milled aluminium face insert (£49.99).
Benross completes its range with three new bags in a choice of 12 colours including orange, green, blue and pink. Models are Z7 cart bag (£79.99), M7 Lite stand bag (£59.99) and B7 Lite stand bag (£39.99). |
